American start-up in the midst of expansion in Spain seeks venture capital to establish a portfolio of AgTech venture stories through the Fund that will have the potential to become significant value contributors to large-scale primary agriculture. We will seek opportunities across the entire crop production value chain, with a particular focus on seeds and other technologies related to the seed ecosystem. The initial target is $20 million, with a one-time investment of around $500,000 in the early stages. Series A rounds will be considered in case of co-investment with other AgTech VCs.
 

Professional Qualifications 

1. 3-5 years of related investment banking experience.

English : c1 / c2 
2.    Experience in corporate business development.
3.    Demonstrated ability in financial modeling
4.    VC due diligence experience
5.    Experience in structuring and executing VC transactions.
6.    Fluency in English and Spanish
7.    MBA degree is a plus

Key Responsibilities

As part of the feasibility study and Fund launch, the Investment Associate will work on establishing industry contacts and building a portfolio of deals, deepening understanding of typical investment objectives, refining valuation and deal structuring approaches, participating in the execution of investment transactions, and providing follow-up and support to portfolio companies.
