Fund Controller

• Lead and supervise a team of fund accountants and financial reporting professionals.
• Be responsible for the entire life cycle of Ares’ Direct Lending Funds.
• Work on continuous improvement initiatives to create operational efficiency and better controls.
• Ensure that processes and procedures are adequate to meet quality standards and are consistently applied and regularly reviewed.
• Work with teams across the organization to meet all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines.
• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, including reviewing the work of accounting staff, producing original workpapers and analyses, and reviewing financial statements and footnote disclosures.
• Review the calculation of management fees, incentive fee/carry, PCAPS, and complex waterfall calculations.
• Assist with the preparation of US GAAP financial statements and SEC filings.
• Oversee and review daily and monthly NAV packages from the fund administrator.
• Review compliance reporting.
• Review the calculation of IRR, capital calls/collateral calls, distribution calculation/notices, credit facility management, tax/VAT returns, and FX hedging.
• Review cash flow projections and daily cash management.
• Monitor compliance with the Fund’s Limited Partnership Agreements and credit facilities.
• Prepare and assist with ad-hoc limited partner reporting.
• Review and approve expense activity and authorization of bank wires.
• Review regulatory compliance filings.

Requirements: we require a candidate who is a  CA  with 15 years of Strong PE experience.
