Our client provides software used in clinical trials, healthcare, public research, pharma, and biotechnology. Their LIMS solutions are used by over 2500 laboratories and they are well-established in the industry. Today they have over 1300 dedicated professionals across the world and in Europe, they are looking for a Sales Leader to expand the business and help make the healthcare sector more effective.
Key Responsibilities
- To support and assist the team as they support prospective customers in their business case development and procurement process.
- Work with prospects and existing customers in developing, tailoring, and continually strengthening the value and benefits proposition in alignment with specific customer requirements and business benefits and ensure that these are appropriately reflected by all staff supporting the sale.
- Manage the development and approval of all commercial proposals with all internal customers to ensure all areas of the proposal meet the customer’s needs and are acceptable and deliverable by all internal stakeholders.
- Qualify customer requirements and develop trusted relationships that position the customer as a strong advocate and supporter and encourage their participation in the securing buy-in promotion of the proposition Develop, own and manage the business development plan for the country.
- Maintain a strong understanding and knowledge of public and private contract procurements
- Provide bi-weekly territory updates and management reports as requested. Support demonstrations, exhibitions, user groups and reference site visits.
- Develop and specify the requirements for site visits by prospects to existing clients’ sites.
- Front and attend meetings with key clients and prospects. Provide context and management input into the bid process for new prospects.
- Represent the views and requirements of the prospective customer in internal discussions.
- Ensure all New Business is formally handed over to a relevant project manager and project team via the sales hand over process.
- Provide leadership for the sales and marketing of all products and services.
- Feed into the business relevant market intelligence and to draw attention to changes or developments that may provide opportunities or threats.
- Maintain a depth of product knowledge that enables credible presentation and discussion on our offerings and solution.
- Support the presentation of products and services at Board and Director level meetings to prospective customers.
- Progress personal development in the role and actively drive the development of the rest of the Sales Organisation and the rest of the European Organisation.
- Traveling across Europe to customer sites, business meetings, and events, as well as occasional International Travel, will be required
What will make you successful

An experienced and accomplished sales leader with at least a 15 year successful track record in selling complex, high-value solution propositions to the European Healthcare or Software Sector, with at least 5 years in Leadership.

A proven history of excellent Leadership, mentoring and team development.

The candidate would ideally have multiple years experience in enterprise healthcare software sales.Experience/knowledge of pathology and diagnostic services is desirable self motivated, driven and tenacious individual, able to build trust and empathy with internal and external stakeholders alike, who is an expert at objection handling, negotiation and persuasion.

An individual with an established credibility and market reputation, able to comfortably operate at Board and Regional levels and able to hit the ground running.

Able to translate change into opportunity and appropriately adapt and emphasise the value proposition for the company’s products

Excellent communication and presentation skills including English business fluent, any other European language is welcome.
