What you’ll be doing

As a Wireless System Engineer - Upper Layers, you will work as part of a team developing solutions that solve complex and challenging problems spanning diverse industries and verticals. This involves cross-layer system design and optimization, modeling, and performance analysis at MAC, RLC and PDCP layers. The successful candidate is expected to have a deep knowledge of the 3GPP protocol stack (PHY, MAC, RLC) of LTE and NR air interfaces.

What you will bring to Client

• MSEE with at least 5 years of experience with wireless systems design and engineering, OR BSEE with at least 7+ years of experience with wireless systems design and engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of wireless communication systems
• Recent and direct knowledge of the 3GPP RAN protocol stack especially MAC, RLC, PDCP.
• Experience working on LTE/NR productization or standardization.
• Experience with C++, MATLAB or Python for algorithm development/evaluation and product development
• Experience with cross-layer optimization (PHY, MAC, RLC)

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience attending or contributing to 3GPP RAN working groups, particularly with RAN2/RAN3
• Experience with system level simulation spanning PHY, MAC
• Experience debugging software problems
• Knowledge of the EPC, 5GC
