Role Overview
The Zonal Head – International Business will be responsible for driving international growth in the West Zone for a leading logistics and express distribution company. This leadership role involves building market presence, expanding strategic partnerships, managing P&L, leading sales, and ensuring seamless cross-functional execution across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership

Develop and execute regional strategies for market expansion and business growth.

Analyze international market trends, identify new opportunities, and stay ahead of competition.

Drive sales forecasting, long-term planning, and business performance tracking.
Business Development & Sales

Lead business development initiatives across the zone, nurturing partnerships and key client relationships.

Maintain a robust opportunity pipeline and ensure consistent revenue growth.

Oversee sales targets and KPIs; collaborate with marketing on campaigns and brand positioning.
Financial & P&L Ownership

Manage end-to-end P&L for the zone’s international business.

Optimize budgets, resources, and costs to maximize profitability.

Provide regular business and financial performance updates to senior leadership.
People & Team Management

Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team aligned with business objectives.

Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Implement training and development plans to enhance capabilities.
Cross-Functional & Compliance

Coordinate with operations, marketing, finance, and legal to ensure smooth execution of strategies.

Ensure compliance with local regulations and international trade norms.

Strengthen alignment between regional offices, headquarters, and global partners.
Customer & Market Insights

Track customer satisfaction and resolve escalations effectively.

Leverage customer and market insights to adapt strategies for stronger outcomes.
Desired Profile
-
Education:
-
Bachelor’s in Business, International Trade, or Management (mandatory).
-
MBA or equivalent post-graduate degree (preferred).

Experience:
-
10–12 years in international business/global sales with at least 5 years in leadership.

Proven expertise in driving growth, managing multicultural business environments, and leading cross-functional teams.

Strong business acumen with P&L ownership.

Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

Financial forecasting, market analysis, and negotiation expertise.

Strong communication; multilingual proficiency a plus.
