Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager
Location: Hyderabad or Chennai/Bangalore
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Regional Sales Head
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Zonal Sales Manager to drive sales growth, develop key customer relationships, and lead a team of Territory Managers and Sales Engineers within the assigned zone. The role involves strategic planning, business development, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the assigned zone
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities
- Prepare and manage sales forecasts and budgets
Business Development
- Acquire new customers and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
- Identify opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling within the region
- Represent the organization at trade fairs, conferences, and customer meetings
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of Territory Managers and Sales Engineers
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and training
- Foster a results-driven and customer-focused sales culture
Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts
- Address and resolve customer concerns effectively
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Operational & Market Intelligence
- Collaborate with technical and proposal teams to develop competitive solutions
- Ensure adherence to pricing policies and internal processes
- Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and industry trends
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering
- 7–10 years of experience in industrial / technical sales
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment, material handling systems, and process technologies
- Knowledge of air pollution control systems, size reduction, and conveying solutions
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in CRM tools, ERP systems, and sales analytics platforms
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in EPC / industrial equipment / capital equipment sales
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong team management and stakeholder handling skills
