Our CLIENT is a strong international company specializing in custom-engineered chemical process equipment, heat exchangers, complete modular systems, reactors etc. now looking to expand their presence in East Europe.

Scope of the role: 

• Develop and execute business development strategies for our CLient's chemical process equipment in Europe and the Middle East.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and process industries.
• Identify and target new business opportunities, develop a client list, and drive sales.
• Collaborate with the internal engineering and sales teams to design customized solutions for clients.
• Represent our Client at international trade fairs, conferences, and industry events.
• Provide strategic insights to senior management on market trends and customer needs.
• Support the annual budget and strategy planning processes.

Structure of the department:

• The role is part of the International Business Development team, focusing on European and Middle Eastern markets. Independent, remote role with close collaboration with the foreign headquarters.

Location and travel required:

• Location: our Candidate can be locatted everywhere in Eastern Europe (Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, or Hungary). ROMANIA seems preferred. 
• Travel: 40–50% international travel to Europe, Middle East, and potentially Americas in phase two.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in target regions.
• Client Development: Identify, approach, and manage relationships with clients in target industries.
• Solution Design: Work with engineering teams to deliver custom technical solutions for clients.
• Sales Execution: Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation.
• Representation: Act as Company's brand ambassador at industry events.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to company growth by providing market feedback and strategic recommendations.

Candidate Specifications:

Experience:

• Proven experience in business development or technical sales (B2B), ideally in an international context and with min 5 years of chemical/petrochemical expossure.
• Experience in chemical process equipment, plant engineering, or related fields is strongly preferred.

Skills:

• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• High cultural adaptability and ability to work independently.
• Fluent in English (mandatory); knowledge of Mandarin, German, Spanish, or French is a plus.

Education:

• Technical university degree in process or chemical/petrol engineering with additional business training.
• Alternatively, a business administration degree with strong technical experience.

C&B draft package

• Competitive base salary with a performance-based bonus.
• Market range  of a fix minimum gross income 50k Eur p,a. TBD according to candidate seniority, experience and relevant industry results.
• Variable pay 20-30% and can be increased vs annual target increase too
• Company car provided or car allowance and all car costs reimbursed
• Health& life  insurance approx. 1500eur p.a. 
• Home-office-based role with flexible work arrangements.
• Potential for B2B/Freelance contract depending on legal feasibility in the chosen location.
• Reimbursement for travel and associated business expenses.
