Job Description:
1. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive production planning strategies to meet organizational goals and objectives, considering factors such as capacity, resources, and market demand.
2. Production Scheduling: Create detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer requirements, inventory levels, and manufacturing capabilities.
3. Resource Allocation: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to allocate resources effectively, including manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities, to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
4. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, monitor stock levels, and implement inventory control measures to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.
5. Process Improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and efficiency enhancement, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.
6. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the manufacturing process.
7. Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve targets.
8. Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components, maintaining strong relationships and negotiating favorable terms and agreements.
9. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the planning team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
10. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment and adhering to best practices in manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree or certification in operations management or supply chain management is a plus.
· 10+ years of experience in production planning, preferably within the valve manufacturing industry.
· In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning methodologies, and inventory management principles.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
· Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals and objectives.
· Proficiency in ERP systems and production planning software.
· Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
