Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Developing Emergency Plans: Creating, implementing and reviewing comprehensive emergency response plans and procedures.
- Training and Drills: Coordinating and conducting training programs for staff on emergency response procedures, and organizing emergency drills and simulation exercises to test the efficiency of response plans.
- Risk Assessment: Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and vulnerabilities and associated mitigating measures.
- Coordination and Communication: Maintaining effective communication with local and foreign emergency services and response agencies to execute emergency response plans.
- Incident Management: Providing support and guidance during actual emergencies, including coordinating evacuation and rescue operations, compiling and submitting reports on emergency incidents, including recommendations for improvements.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to emergency response and maintaining emergency response equipment and supplies accessible and functional.
Required Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in emergency management, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- Certifications: Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification, ICS (incident command systems) /NIMS Certifications or similar is a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in emergency response or a related field, gained through roles in health, safety, and environment (HSE) departments in oil and gas companies or similar industries.
- Leadership Experience: Experience in managing teams and coordinating emergency response efforts.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of emergency management procedures and disaster response best practices and proficiency in using emergency response software and tools.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and crisis management skills, Strong organizational and planning abilities; effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Specific working conditions:
- Rotation offshore: 28/28 or Office work (40h/per week)
- Transportation costs paid from home location to work location
- Expenses fully covered during rotation
- Competitive salary – Expatriation package negotiable for non-residents
