About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Design Verification Engineer/Manager to take ownership of E&I design review, technical verification, and engineering quality within the Engineered Solutions team.
The role will serve as a technical guide to E&I Design Engineers, supporting complex engineering projects, design optimisation, technical problem-solving, competence development, and alignment with global engineering standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
Review and validate Electrical & Instrumentation engineering designs and deliverables for quality, correctness, and compliance.
Provide technical guidance to E&I Design Engineers and support resolution of complex engineering issues.
Perform technical verification and design reviews and initiate corrective actions wherever required.
Interpret customer specifications and translate them into machine/system engineering requirements.
Evaluate technical solutions, identify engineering risks, and recommend appropriate alternatives.
Ensure effective application of international E&I standards, engineering processes, and safety requirements.
Support engineering teams in the design of compressors, dryers, and associated air-treatment systems.
Conduct and support root-cause analysis of design errors and implement preventive actions.
Lead knowledge-sharing initiatives, technical training, and competency development within the E&I engineering team.
Support production, testing, commissioning, and vendors on technical issues as required.
Participate in feasibility studies and provide technical inputs to proposal and quotation teams.
Coordinate with global engineering teams to standardise engineering practices and improve ways of working.
Review risk analysis, serviceability, and maintenance aspects of engineered systems.
Provide technical support during customer discussions, wherever required.
Must-Have Requirements
Candidates should meet the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
8+ years of hands-on experience in Electrical & Instrumentation engineering design and design review.
Practical experience in E&I engineering for industrial machinery, equipment, or engineered systems.
Good knowledge of international E&I standards, certifications, and electrical/control panel fabrication processes.
Strong understanding of E&I design principles, engineering documentation, and technical verification.
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor; experience with Enovia/PLM is required or preferred.
Experience with 2D/3D engineering design software and ERP/PLM systems.
Strong understanding of production, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment.
Proven experience in technical problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and design improvement.
Ability to provide technical guidance and training to engineers and independently resolve engineering problems.
Good written and spoken English communication skills.
Strong understanding of industrial safety procedures, processes, and systems.
Ability to work effectively with global/international engineering teams and contribute to standardisation of engineering practices.
Preferred / Added Advantage
Experience with compressors, dryers, air-treatment systems, or industrial process equipment.
Experience in Engineered-to-Order (ETO) or project-based engineering.
Experience in design review, technical verification, and engineering quality assurance.
Exposure to customer specifications, feasibility studies, and technical proposal support.
Experience leading, mentoring, or technically guiding E&I engineers.
