Production Team Leader, Assembly Unit (F/M) Location: Sibiu, Romania Department: Operations Work model: On site, 1 shift Contract: Indefinite About our client Our client is an international group active in automotive electronics, with several thousand employees and with manufacturing and engineering sites in Europe, Asia and North America. The company produces electronic and mechatronic components for well known vehicle manufacturers, and also supplies a number of non automotive industrial markets. In Romania the group runs a manufacturing site in the Sibiu area, with its own tool shop and technical departments, working for international series programmes. Maintenance, tooling and quality are handled internally rather than being outsourced, so the technical work stays on site. Why this role Full leadership scope: training, evaluating, coordinating and developing the team, not only shift supervision. Ownership of production and material planning, and of the KPIs for the unit. Real improvement mandate: root cause analysis, process optimisation proposals, investment and optimisation projects. Structured environment with established quality tools, FMEA, Fishbone, 5 Why. Single shift pattern and a permanent contract. The role Responsibilities Training, evaluating, coordinating and organizing the team, drawing up and implementing professional development measures. Planning production and materials. Adjusting the production orders and drawing up special programs. Performing audits (technical appraisal). KPI management: defining, tracking and ensuring the achievement of the performance indicators. Proposing solutions for optimizing the production process. Analyzing the causes of defects, diagnosing them, and establishing the type and the method of their removal. Recording, collecting, monitoring, analyzing, evaluating and reporting data (machine downtime, costs, deadlines and similar), and putting forward recommendations for solving, improving and optimizing the problems that arise. Coordinating documentation: defining, drawing up, revising, displaying and archiving work instructions, manuals and technical specifications. Defining, implementing and tracking investment and optimization projects. Candidate profile Experience in a similar position of at least 5 years. Higher education in the field of engineering. Knowledge of MS Office and SAP. Advanced knowledge of English, written and spoken. German is an advantage. Use of quality tools (FMEA, Fishbone diagram, 5 Why and similar).
