It delivers construction, installations and security systems projects across Romania, with particular strength in critical infrastructure and transport. Why this role End-to-end exposure to complex construction and infrastructure projects, from tender documentation through contract execution, claims and disputes Real public procurement work: clarifications, CNSC challenges, contract changes during execution, subcontracting and third-party support A stable group with a strong pipeline of public and private projects Direct work with the technical, bidding, commercial, procurement, finance and project management teams, so you see the business, not just the paperwork A company committed to modernising legal work through AI tools, which is a real development area for a forward-looking lawyer Role purpose Provide legal consultancy, assistance and representation for the company, with a focus on construction contracts and public procurement. The aim is to identify and reduce legal and contractual risk across all projects. Main responsibilities Advise and support the bidding teams throughout public procurement procedures: tender documentation risk analysis, clarifications, association and subcontracting agreements, support commitments Draft challenges to the CNSC, court complaints and related points of view Draft, review and negotiate construction contracts: general contracting, design and build, subcontracting, equipment supply and services, plus addenda Analyse contractual obligations, risks and liabilities before the company takes them on Support contract execution: delays, additional works, design changes, suspensions, extensions, penalties, guarantees, retentions, insurance, terminations and rescissions Draft and analyse notifications, contractual claims and responses to claims from beneficiaries, partners, subcontractors and suppliers Support the analysis and justification of changes to public procurement contracts during implementation, and check legal compliance on subcontracting, third-party support and changes to association composition Draft legal opinions and applications, check the legality of documents submitted for endorsement, and prepare documents for Board and General Assembly approval Advise on labour law matters Represent the company before authorities, courts and arbitration, and support external lawyers on outsourced litigation Keep an updated record of contracts, guarantees, deadlines, litigation status and financial exposure Monitor legislative changes and case law, especially in public procurement Requirements Law degree (mandatory) Minimum 5 years of legal experience, of which at least 3 to 5 years in construction, infrastructure or installations contracts, or in public procurement Practical experience with public procurement procedures and with executing contracts signed with contracting authorities, ideally in construction. This is the key requirement. Solid knowledge of Law 98/2016, Law 99/2016, Law 101/2016, HG 394/2016 and HG 395/2016 Practical experience using AI solutions in legal work. Certifications or training in AI for legal work are a plus. Advanced English, including drafting and negotiating contracts and legal correspondence Knowledge of Romanian and EU legislation: civil law, civil procedure, commercial law, company law and labour law Knowledge of the legislation and contractual practice applicable to construction and installations projects MS Office, email and remote communication tools Advantages Experience with FIDIC or other international contracts Experience managing contractual claims, disputes and litigation in construction Personal qualities Strong prioritisation and organisation, excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, attention to detail, good negotiation skills, a positive and results-oriented attitude, and team spirit. Package and conditions Contract: employment contract (CIM) preferred. Other options, such as collaboration through your own law office.
