Role Overview
We are looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to take ownership of E&I engineering activities for engineered-solution projects involving oil-free screw compressors, dryers, nitrogen generators and other rotating/process equipment.
The role involves close collaboration with the E&I Engineering Manager, Project Manager, customers, vendors, manufacturing teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure technically compliant, high-quality and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Execute Electrical & Instrumentation engineering activities for engineered-solution projects from order to delivery.
Understand customer specifications and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
Prepare and maintain BOMs, electrical/instrumentation drawings and engineering documentation.
Release technical specifications for major E&I items with accurate and first-time-right inputs.
Participate in Kick-off Meetings (KOM), project/process meetings and design reviews.
Prepare and submit engineering documentation for customer approval as per project requirements.
Review customer technical specifications and ensure compliance across design, manufacturing, testing and transportation requirements.
Review vendor technical offers, provide engineering comments and support technical approvals.
Coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, manufacturing, project teams and internal engineering functions.
Provide engineering support to the shop floor and resolve E&I-related technical issues.
Support resolution of customer/site-related technical issues when required.
Ensure On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) and First-Time-Right (FTR) engineering deliverables.
Apply lessons learned from previous projects and contribute to continuous improvement.
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining engineering quality and timelines.
Support lean, efficient, transparent and digitally enabled engineering processes.
Must-Have Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
1–3 years of relevant engineering experience.
Mandatory industry exposure in compressors, rotating equipment, Oil & Gas, gas/process industries, or closely related industrial engineering environments.
Good understanding of Electrical & Instrumentation engineering for industrial equipment/projects.
Ability to read and understand electrical/instrumentation drawings and schematics.
Hands-on experience with AutoCAD and/or EPLAN.
Experience handling engineering deliverables for projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Experience preparing/reviewing BOMs, technical specifications and engineering documentation.
Ability to coordinate effectively with customers, vendors, manufacturing/shop-floor teams and internal engineering stakeholders.
Willingness to undertake approximately 25–30% local/international travel as required.
Good to Have
Exposure to SAP/BPCS or other ERP systems.
Experience with engineering/document management systems such as Enovia.
Exposure to customer design reviews, vendor technical evaluation and shop-floor support.
Understanding of gas and process industry applications.
