Our client, a Romanian company, active in the agribusiness market, is looking for a General Manager:
General Manager
The General Manager is responsible for the implementation of action plans to meet company objectives, the development of the business, maintaining a productive and collaborative work environment, and acting as a leader in managing teams and operations. The General Manager has proven experience in the agribusiness sector, developing and implementing strategies that will ensure the growth of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Operational input
- Monitor day-to-day operations to achieve the business objectives set;
- Ensure the operative management of the executive structure in order to achieve the objectives;
- Improvement, development, implementation and application of procedures of general interest of the company, in order to streamline and improve the activity;
- Establish objectives and ways to measure the degree of their achievement;
- Conclude legal documents on behalf of the company and carries out commercial activities on its behalf;
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and legal norms;
- Active participation in projects implemented in society for their completion under approved conditions;
- Fulfillment and adoption of all measures for the achievement with maximum efficiency of the company's object of activity;
- Financial responsibility
- Implement business plans and growth strategies;
- Monitor and improve the financial performance of the company, including managing the company's budgets and resources;
- Manage and implement EU-funded projects, knowing the related legislation;
- Strategy development
- Establish and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and business partners and identifying new business opportunities;
- Involvement in negotiating contracts that the company can conclude;
- Represent the company in relations with business partners;
- People management
- Promote the company's values and mission;
- Create a pleasant working environment that ensures the involvement and development of all employees;
- Develop and maintain a productive and collaborative work environment;
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in fields such as business administration/management / agricultural/economic / legal / marketing
- Proven work experience in a company operating in the agribusiness sector is mandatory
- Solid knowledge of financial planning and budget management
- Knowledge related to primary and secondary legislation in the field of agriculture
- Good knowledge of the agriculture sector and current trends at national and international level
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, decision-making in difficult situations, reasoned support of one's own opinions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Advanced knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Strategic attitude, analytical and logical thinking;
