Hiring for a Lead Data Engineer – Snowflake Data Solutions, to build data warehousing and advanced analytics / big data solutions on cloud, for an Analytics and AI/ML platform provider.

Role details:

• Title / Designation: Lead Data Engineer – Snowflake
• Location: Bangalore, Mohali, Gurugram

Role & responsibilities:

• Contribute to Snowflake Data Solutions team’s efforts to help clients transform their data into a strategic business asset, leveraging Cloud data platforms, using advanced SQL & NOSQL on large scale data
• Design, implement, and optimize large-scale data and analytics solutions on Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse, handling structured, semi-structured (JSON, XML) and unstructured (Snowpipe) data, leveraging ETL / ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion
• Implement re-clustering of the data in Snowflake, using micro-partitions inside Snowflake

Candidate requirements:

• Must have experience with Snowflake, DBT and Airflow
• Must have 3 years of experience with Data warehousing methodologies and modelling techniques
• Minimum of 2 years hands on experience working with the Snowflake platform
• Experience in handling semi-structured data (JSON, XML) in snowflake
• Experience in in Re-clustering of the data in Snowflake with good understanding on how Micro-Partition works inside Snowflake
• Experience in SnowPipe for handling unstructured & streaming data
• Expertise in advanced SQL & NOSQL with experience in handling large scale data
• Good knowledge and hands on experience in Data Modelling
• Hands-on experience in any of the Cloud technologies such as (AWS, AZURE, GCP)
• Strong expertise in ETL / ELT tools such as Informatica, Talend, Matillion
• Good to have certification in Snowpro Core 
• Good to have experience in cloud based DWH 
• Good to have experience in Hadoop, Hive, HBASE, Spark
