Responsibilities:
● Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing mentorship, setting goals, and
fostering a culture of high performance.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data engineering efforts with
organizational goals, ensuring data solutions meet business requirements.
● Design, implement, and maintain best-in-class data warehousing, reporting, and data
ingestion solutions.
● Develop and manage data pipelines, ensuring data quality, reliability, and availability.
● Utilize your expertise in Apache Airflow and Glue to automate and streamline data
workflows.
● Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and maintainable software development
within the team.
● Drive talent acquisition efforts, participating in candidate evaluations and interviews.
● Work on continuous integration and deployment practices to enhance data engineering
processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
● 10+ years of combined software development and management experience in data
engineering or equivalent.
● 4+ years of experience managing data engineering teams.
● Strong expertise in data warehouse technologies, ETL design, schema design, and data
modeling.
● Proficiency in Apache Airflow and AWS Glue.
● Experience with cloud computing, particularly AWS.
● Proficient in Python and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
● Knowledge of financial markets or banking.
● Experience with text analysis, NLP, and web development.
● Familiarity with Kafka, HDFS, Hive, and machine learning concepts.
