Role & responsibilities:

• Own and drive the end-to-end release lifecycle, including production deployments, platform updates, and customer-specific releases.
• Act as a technical gatekeeper, validating release manifests (SQL migrations, Kafka schemas, workflow versioning, AWS configs).
• Ensure environment consistency (instance parity) across multi-instance AWS setups, preventing configuration drift.
• Lead Go/No-Go decision-making, coordinating across engineering, QA, product, and support teams.
• Identify and mitigate release risks such as database locks, sequencing issues, and stateful workflow conflicts.
• Drive automation and process maturity, transitioning from manual interventions to structured, scalable release pipelines with measurable KPIs.

Candidate requirements:

• 10+ years of technical experience with at least 5+ years in release management within complex SaaS environments.
• Strong expertise in AWS ecosystem (EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, Secrets Manager, MSK).

• Hands-on understanding of Kubernetes/Docker and deployment strategies (Blue-Green, Canary, Rolling).
• Proficiency in databases (MySQL/Postgres) with experience auditing migration scripts and release sequencing.
• Familiarity with event-driven and workflow systems (Kafka, Temporal) and handling asynchronous processing risks.
• Strong stakeholder management with the ability to enforce release governance and halt deployments when needed.
