Operational leadership – overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring team deliver against agreed service and customer expectations. Risk Management – proactively identifying technical and customer satisfaction risks, taking corrective action. Priority Management – making daily decisions on priorities, resources, and next steps, taking ownership rather than passing decisions further up the organization. Project Delivery Oversight – monitoring delivery and execution across projects, ensuring commitments and timelines are met, without being responsible for end-to-end project management. PSA / ITSM ownership – ensuring the quality and consistency of data entry, adherence to processes and rules, and the accuracy and usefulness of operational reporting. Process & documentation governance – ensuring internal and customer-facing documentation, processes, and procedures are accurate, up to date, and consistently followed. Team leadership & mentoring – working closely with Team Leaders, providing guidance and support to engineers, and fostering a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing environment. Strong enough technical understanding to challenge and evaluate technical decisions and ask the right questions. You understand areas such as infrastructure, networking, backup, and security, without needing to be a deep technical expert in any single domain. Experience working with PSA and/or ITSM tools and service management processes. Solid understanding of SLA management, service KPIs, and operational performance. Good commercial and financial understanding, with the ability to monitor service profitability, scope, and team utilization. A decisive leadership style with a strong sense of ownership and accountability – you make decisions and take responsibility for outcomes. A people-oriented leadership approach and a visible, present, and accessible management style. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to commitments, deadlines, and stakeholder management. The ability to build trust with both technical teams and customers and to remain calm and solution-oriented when priorities shift or challenges arise. What does success look like in this role? You will be the person who keeps the operation under control, spots risks before they become problems, ensures customers receive the service they expect, and enables technical teams to perform at their best. You will have the autonomy to make decisions, the responsibility to own outcomes, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the quality and profitability of the service organization. What's in it for you? Operational leadership role in a successful and growing Croatian IT company The opportunity to influence and improve the way technology services are delivered A collaborative environment with experienced technical professionals High level of ownership and autonomy in decision-making Professional growth and the opportunity to make a visible impact If you are an experienced IT service leader who enjoys taking ownership, making decisions, and building high-performing teams and customer relationships, we would be happy to hear from you.
