As the company’s sole internal finance employee, you will work directly with the founders. You will manage the accounts and daily operations, produce reliable financial reports, and keep management informed about cash, performance and upcoming obligations. Where needed, you will coordinate external tax, legal and payroll specialists. This role is for someone who has already run a finance function independently. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Monthly Close: Maintain the ledger, reconcile bank and payment-platform balances, manage accruals, prepayments and deferred revenue, and produce accurate financial statements Billing & Collections: Translate customer contracts and usage into correct invoices, manage credits and refunds, reconcile customer balances and follow up on overdue payments Payments & Expenses: Check supplier invoices against agreements, manage payables and expenses, track renewals, prevent duplicate payments and prepare supported payment runs for approval Payroll & Contractors: Check compensation changes, commissions and provider invoices, and reconcile payroll costs, funding, deposits and final settlements Cash & Planning: Maintain a rolling cash forecast, budget and hiring plan, and track burn, runway, commitments and expected receipts SaaS Reporting: Maintain revenue, retention, gross-margin and customer-profitability reports, including AI, cloud and voice costs International Compliance: Own the finance calendar, prepare supporting schedules, coordinate advisers and retain evidence of filings and payments Investor Reporting: Prepare financial packs, forecasts and due-diligence materials that reconcile to the underlying records Systems & Controls: Maintain finance-system access, approval controls, documentation and reliable automation, and investigate discrepancies and improve the processes behind them Requirements: Strong hands-on accounting experience, including independent ownership of the monthly close and financial reporting Proven experience running finance in a startup, scaleup or lean technology company Practical experience supporting multinational entities and working across countries, currencies and payment systems Understanding of subscription and usage-based business models Strong spreadsheet skills and experience with QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system Ability to investigate incomplete records, resolve routine issues and identify decisions that require specialist advice Clear professional English and the ability to explain finance to non-finance colleagues Experience with Stripe, international payroll platforms, Jordan/GCC operations and checked use of AI or automation is valuable CPA, ACCA, CMA, JCPA or a comparable qualification is an advantage **Final engagement is conditional on an acceptable criminal-record check, including a certificate of non-conviction or equivalent, completed with the candidate’s consent and in accordance with applicable law
