Hiring: Product Engineering Lead – .NET, Microservices & Cloud Architecture (8–12 yrs)
📍 Location: Pune
We're looking for a hands-on full-stack Engineering Lead to drive architecture and quality across Musafir's platform - a suite of .NET microservices, a Next.js web funnel, a React Native app, and a Claude-powered assistant. You'll own the technical direction and stay in the code.
Job Role & Responsibilities
- Architecture & hands-on development
- Own end-to-end architecture for platform features using Clean Architecture, DDD, and SOLID - microservice boundaries, domain models, and API contracts built for scale and fault tolerance.
- Write production-grade C#, .NET 8/10, ASP.NET Core; lead architectural reviews and technical decisions.
- Set and hold the quality bar across a .NET + Next.js/React + React Native stack.
- AI-first (this is the bar, not a bonus)
- You lead AI-native: you use AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) fluently to move faster, set the team's standards for how AI is used in development, and review AI-generated code with a critical eye — you catch what the model gets subtly wrong.
- Strong prompt-engineering instinct and sound judgment on where AI genuinely helps in architecture and delivery vs. where it's the wrong tool.
- Cloud, DevOps & production readiness
- Partner with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines and deployments across QA/UAT/prod on AWS ECS + Docker.
- Own production readiness: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and SLA adherence.
- Lead the rollout of centralized observability (ELK / OpenTelemetry) as part of the platform roadmap.
- Own performance: API latency, caching, query tuning, and Core Web Vitals on the customer funnel.
- Establish coding standards and quality gates; champion testing (xUnit / integration tests).
- Mentorship & delivery
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing; upskill the team on modern .NET and AWS practices.
- Translate product goals (B2B partner API, all-destinations coverage, mobile launch) into realistic technical plans with honest risk assessment.
Specific Expertise Required
- AI-first, hands-on: you use AI coding assistants daily to ship faster, have a strong prompt-engineering instinct, and can review AI-generated code critically. You set the standard for AI-assisted development on a team, not just use it yourself.
- 8–12 yrs engineering; 3+ leading in product companies.
- Expert in C#, .NET 8/10, ASP.NET Core, EF Core.
- Strong in microservices, DDD, SOLID, clean code, REST APIs, async workflows.
- Hands-on MongoDB; AWS (ECS, S3, SQS/SNS), Docker, CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of React/Next.js + TypeScript — you lead across the stack.
Technical / Functional Skills
- Building LLM features in production — prompt design, evaluation, and guardrails (our assistant runs on Claude / Anthropic SDK).
- React Native; event-driven systems (SQS/SNS, Kafka/RabbitMQ); PostgreSQL.
- ELK stack (Elasticsearch/Logstash/Kibana) or OpenTelemetry / distributed tracing — strong plus; you'll help stand ours up.
- OAuth2, JWT, OWASP; GraphQL.
- Travel/OTA domain (booking, payment gateways/3DS); load testing (k6/JMeter).
