IT INFRASTRUCTURE SOLUTION ARCHITECT - SYSTEM INTEGRATION & PRE-SALES
IT Infrastructure Solution Architect - System Integration & Pre-Sales
Location: Bengaluru
Experience: 7-12 Years
Function: Enterprise Solutions / Pre-Sales / Solution Engineering
Industry Background: System Integration, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Technology, Data Centre, Networking or Managed IT Services
Reporting To: Enterprise Sales Head / National Sales Head
Role Purpose
NewJaisa Technologies is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Solution Architect who can understand a customer's business or operational requirements and translate them into a complete, technically compliant, high-performance and commercially optimized IT infrastructure solution. This is not a software application architecture role.
The candidate should be capable of designing integrated solutions covering:
End-user computing
Servers and compute
Storage
Enterprise networking, Wi-Fi, Firewalls and network security
Virtualization and GPU/high-performance computing
Backup and redundancy
Endpoint management and infrastructure capacity planning
A core objective of the role is to deliver the required performance, security, reliability and compliance at the lowest practical Total Cost of Ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Business Requirement Discovery & Solution Architecture
Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to understand business processes, workloads, user constraints, security requirements, and lifecycle expectations.
Translate these into solution architecture, High-Level Design, capacity calculations, Bill of Materials, and deployment architecture.
Workload & Capacity Planning
Perform infrastructure sizing based on actual workloads rather than simply user count.
Determine requirements for CPU, RAM, GPU, storage, network bandwidth, firewall throughput, and high availability.
Higher-Education Solution Architecture
Design complete IT infrastructure solutions for educational institutions, translating curriculum and software requirements into compute, network, and storage needs.
Optimize infrastructure utilization for labs, faculty, and administrative usage.
Enterprise & BPO Solution Architecture
Design infrastructure for enterprises including BPOs, corporate offices, BFSI, and distributed workforces.
Understand shift patterns, concurrent users, and endpoint personas to define standard configurations.
End-User Computing & Workstation Architecture
Strong understanding of enterprise laptops, desktops, and mobile workstations.
Recommend configurations based on processors, GPUs, docking, battery requirements, and application compatibility.
Server, Compute & Storage Architecture
Strong working knowledge of Dell, HPE, Lenovo, virtualization, RAID, SAN/NAS, and AI/ML workloads.
Size infrastructure for file/application servers and high-performance computing.
Network Architecture
Design enterprise and campus networking solutions covering LAN/WAN, routing, VLANs, and uplink sizing using Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, or Juniper platforms.
Enterprise Wi-Fi Architecture
Design Wi-Fi solutions based on user density, building layout, and application bandwidth.
Support site-survey interpretation and capacity planning.
Firewall & Network Security
Design and size firewall solutions considering VPN users, threat-protection throughput, and HA using Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, etc.
Virtualization & Shared Compute
Evaluate when customer workloads should run on physical vs. virtual machines, VDI, or shared GPU infrastructure using VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, or Linux.
Operating Systems & Enterprise Management
Working knowledge of Windows, Linux, Active Directory, Intune, SCCM, Autopilot, and enterprise device provisioning.
Security, Compliance & Device Lifecycle
Understand enterprise security (TPM, BitLocker, BIOS security) and ensure proposed infrastructure meets compliance and asset lifecycle management.
Refurbished IT Solution Engineering
Help customers evaluate where certified refurbished enterprise technology can reduce cost without compromising business requirements.
Recommend hybrid architectures where appropriate.
Commercial Optimization & TCO
Balance engineering requirements with commercial practicality.
Compare alternatives based on acquisition cost, lifecycle, TCO, and develop Good/Better/Best solution options.
Pre-Sales & Customer Engagement
Lead customer-facing discussions.
Prepare HLDs, proposals, BOMs, and TCO models.
Present architectures to CIOs, IT Heads, and management.
RFQ / RFP / Tender Solutioning
Analyse specifications and prepare compliance matrices, BOMS, and equivalent product recommendations for institutional procurement.
POC & Technical Validation
Design and execute Proof of Concept programs.
Document benchmark findings and final technical recommendations.
Candidate Profile
Mandatory
7-12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure Solution Architecture, System Integration, Infrastructure Pre-Sales or Technical Consulting
Strong customer-facing infrastructure solutioning experience
Experience independently understanding customer requirements and designing infrastructure solutions
Strong knowledge across servers, storage, networking, security and end-user computing
Strong hardware-sizing and capacity-planning capability
Experience preparing BOMS, HLDs, RFP/RFQ responses and technical proposals
Understanding of CPU, RAM, GPU, storage, networking and workload sizing
Ability to interact confidently with CIOs, IT Heads, and technical teams
Preferred Background
Strong preference for candidates who have worked with System Integrators, Enterprise IT Infrastructure companies, Infrastructure VARs, Managed IT Service providers, Data-centre solution companies, or OEM pre-sales teams.
Desired Technical Exposure
Compute: Dell PowerEdge | HPE ProLiant | Lenovo ThinkSystem | Intel Xeon | AMD EPYC
Endpoints: Dell | HP | Lenovo | Intel Core/Core Ultra | Ryzen/Ryzen Pro | NVIDIA GPUs
Networking: Cisco | Aruba | Ruckus | Juniper | LAN | WAN | VLAN | Wi-Fi
Security: Fortinet | Sophos | Palo Alto | Firewall | VPN | Network Segmentation
Virtualization & Management: VMware | Hyper-V | Windows Server | Linux | Active Directory | Intune | SCCM | Autopilot
What Success Looks Like
A successful candidate should be able to walk into a customer environment with limited predefined technical specifications, understand how the organisation actually operates, and independently answer:
What infrastructure does this customer really need?
How much compute, memory, storage, GPU, network and security capacity is required?
What workloads should run locally and what should be centralized or shared?
What architecture will meet performance and compliance requirements?
How can NewJaisa deliver this solution at the lowest sustainable Total Cost of Ownership?
The final output should be a technically defensible architecture with clear assumptions, capacity calculations, solution diagrams, BOM and commercial alternatives.
