Amit Shrikrishna Deo

With over 35 years of experience in the metal cutting and precision engineering industry, Amit Deo brings a unique combination of technical understanding, commercial leadership, and deep industry relationships built over three decades.

A Mechanical Engineer with a qualification in Business Management, Amit has spent the majority of his career driving sales, business development, and strategic growth for globally renowned cutting tool companies, including WIDIA, CERATIZIT, and Guhring. Working closely with manufacturers across automotive, aerospace, energy, oil & gas, heavy engineering, bearings, steel, tubes & pipes, and other precision machining industries, he has helped customers solve complex machining challenges through application-led engineering solutions.

Beginning his career in manufacturing provided him with first-hand exposure to production environments and machining processes, creating a strong technical foundation that has shaped his commercial career ever since. This blend of engineering knowledge and business acumen has enabled him to build new markets, establish high-growth industry segments, and develop long-term partnerships with manufacturers across India.

Known for his consultative approach, Amit has successfully developed niche industry segments and built lasting partnerships by combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of customer needs and business challenges.

Frequent engagements with manufacturing facilities across Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg have further strengthened his understanding of global manufacturing practices and emerging technologies, enabling him to bring an international perspective to the Indian manufacturing landscape.

Today, Amit leverages his technical expertise, commercial experience, and extensive industry network to help organisations build stronger engineering teams and make better hiring decisions.
