Requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Related field 5 to 15 years of experience in software development and/or test automation roles Proven experience in automation testing with strong coding skills Strong programming skills in Python Experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework, PyTest, Selenium, or similar) Good understanding of software development principles, data structures, and debugging Experience developing automation frameworks, libraries, and reusable test utilities Ability to contribute to small development tasks, simulators, mock services, and internal tools Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, and backend services Experience with Linux-based environments Working knowledge of SQL / NoSQL databases Experience with Git / GitLab or similar version control systems Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automation into CI workflows Working experience in Agile / Scrum methodologies Soft Skills / Interpersonal Level Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Ability to understand complex systems and end-to-end workflows Proactive mindset with strong ownership of quality and deliverables Willingness to learn and adapt across both development and testing responsibilities Good to Have Experience in video streaming / OTT technologies Exposure to performance, scalability, or non-functional testing Experience working with cloud-native applications (AWS / GCP) Knowledge of containerization and test environments (Docker, Kubernetes – basic level) Roles and Responsibilities Automation & Quality Engineering Design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks and scripts using Python Automate functional, regression, integration, and system-level test scenarios Ensure automation coverage for new features and regression scenarios Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation Development Contributions Develop small application features, test utilities, simulators, and mock services as required Collaborate with developers to understand implementation details and improve testability Assist in debugging issues by analyzing logs, code, and system behavior Collaboration & Agile Execution Participate actively in Agile / Scrum ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) Work closely with developers, architects, and manual testers to ensure quality across releases Review test cases and automation code to improve maintainability and effectiveness Continuous Improvement Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and testing approaches Identify gaps in test coverage and propose improvements Contribute to improving overall engineering and quality practices
