About the Role
We are seeking a high-caliber Senior Manager Controlling to spearhead our financial planning, analysis, and operational governance framework. Reporting to the General Manager – Controlling, you will act as a primary strategic advisor to executive business leaders and functional heads. In this role, you will not only oversee budgeting and management reporting but also independently drive cost-optimization strategies, mitigate financial risks, and lead digital transformation initiatives within the finance function to maximize organization-wide profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic FP&A Leadership: Direct the end-to-end annual budgeting and rolling forecast processes; design complex financial models and long-term scenario planning to steer executive decisions.
- Executive Insights & Reporting: Deliver high-impact financial dashboards, margin trends, and EBITDA analysis directly to senior leadership, providing proactive variance commentary and risk-mitigation strategies.
- Advanced Profitability & Cost Governance: Own the financial overview of delivery margins, benchmarking resource utilization, employee pyramid costs, and operational overheads to uncover structural savings.
- Commercial & Revenue Controlling: Evaluate complex IT service contracts, pricing models, and project economics to prevent margin leakage and strictly manage unbilled revenue risks.
- Strategic Business Partnering: Act as a critical sounding board to Delivery, Sales, HR, and Procurement leaders, constructively challenging business assumptions to drive financial accountability.
- Digital Transformation & Controls: Lead projects to automate financial reporting, streamline controlling workflows, and scale ERP/Business Intelligence (Power BI/Tableau) environments while strengthening internal audit trails.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and elevate a high-performing team of controlling professionals, establishing clear delivery benchmarks and fostering continuous professional development.
What We Look For
- Education: CA, CMA, or MBA in Finance from a premier institution.
- Experience: 12–15+ years of progressive experience in FP&A/Controlling, with at least 3–5 years in a definitive people-management role within the IT Services, Tech Consulting, or Project-based sectors.
- Domain Expertise: Mastery of project accounting, software delivery metrics (utilization, bench management, onsite/offshore mix), and complex global delivery margins.
- Technical Excellence: Expert-level command over advanced financial modeling; robust hands-on experience driving enterprise ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and business intelligence tools.
- Leadership Traits: Exceptionally strong executive presence, sharp negotiation and stakeholder management skills, and a proactive mindset geared toward business transformation.
