Country Sales Manager – Romania & Serbia
Role Overview
We are looking for a Country Sales Manager – Romania & Serbia who will combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial execution. The role will be responsible not only for delivering sales results, but also for defining the market approach, identifying growth opportunities, shaping the go-to-market strategy and establishing the company’s long-term position in both countries.

Main Responsibilities
Strategy & Market Development
Develop and implement the commercial strategy for Romania and Serbia, aligned with the company’s international growth objectives.
Define market priorities, target industries, customer segments and sales channels for both countries.
Analyse market potential, competitive landscape, customer needs and industry trends to identify new growth opportunities.
Establish clear commercial priorities and translate the overall business strategy into actionable country-level plans.
Develop the go-to-market approach for the territory, including direct sales, key accounts and distribution channels.
Identify opportunities to increase market penetration, expand the customer base and introduce additional products and solutions.
Monitor commercial performance against strategic objectives and adjust plans based on market developments and results.
Sales & Business Development
Take ownership of sales growth and revenue development across Romania and Serbia.
Develop new business with OEMs, MRO customers, industrial companies and strategic accounts.
Build and manage relationships with key customers and decision-makers, positioning the company as a long-term technical partner.
Develop and optimise the local distribution network, identifying suitable partners and defining development plans for existing distributors.
Manage the full sales cycle, from prospect identification and qualification through technical discussions, proposals, negotiations and closing.
Develop and maintain a structured sales pipeline and accurate sales forecasts.
Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the company’s product portfolio.
Participate in key customer meetings, industry events, exhibitions and strategic business development initiatives.
Commercial Performance & Market Intelligence
Set and monitor commercial KPIs, sales targets and territory development objectives.
Analyse sales performance, profitability, customer mix and channel performance, proposing corrective actions where required.
Track competitor activity, pricing strategies and market developments and provide relevant insights to international management.
Prepare regular business reviews, forecasts and strategic recommendations for the region.
Work closely with internal technical, product and international sales teams to ensure market requirements are reflected in commercial initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B technical sales, business development or commercial management, preferably within an industrial or engineering environment.
Proven experience in developing and executing sales or market development strategies.
Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with the ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
Demonstrated track record of growing revenues, developing new markets and acquiring new customers.
Experience managing a geographical territory and independently defining commercial priorities.
Strong understanding of industrial customers, sales channels and complex B2B sales cycles.
Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into concrete commercial actions.
Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
Fluent Romanian and good command of English.
Willingness to travel regularly across Romania and Serbia.
High level of autonomy, initiative and ownership.
Would Be an Advantage
Experience in power transmission, mechanical components, industrial equipment or material handling.
Existing network within Romanian and/or Serbian industrial markets.
Experience developing distributor or partner networks.
Exposure to OEM, MRO and project-based sales.
Previous responsibility for launching or developing a market.
Serbian language skills.
