About the Role We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality professional to drive supplier quality, supplier development and continuous improvement for compressor package systems and associated components. The role will focus on supplier performance, quality improvement, technical compliance, supplier audits, problem solving and supplier capability development. The position will work closely with Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, suppliers, Third-Party Inspection Agencies and customers to ensure robust quality and timely resolution of supplier-related issues. Key Responsibilities Own supplier quality for commodities including fabricated base frames, piping, coolers, air receivers, hoses, motors, control panels and instrumentation. Conduct supplier process, product and quality system audits and drive effective closure of identified gaps. Drive Supplier PPM reduction, supplier performance improvement and continuous improvement initiatives. Lead supplier development activities to improve manufacturing capability, process robustness and quality performance. Support supplier qualification, NPD and resourcing projects. Review and approve supplier quality documentation including ITP, QAP, WPS/PQR, inspection reports and test documentation. Provide technical guidance on fabrication, welding, pressure vessels and pressure equipment. Ensure compliance with ASME codes, U-stamp requirements and applicable engineering standards. Ensure effective implementation of hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing requirements. Ensure appropriate implementation of NDT/NDE techniques, including Radiographic Testing (RT) and Liquid Penetrant Examination (LPE). Lead structured problem solving using 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and CAPA methodologies. Lead or support Six Sigma / Lean improvement projects focused on supplier quality and supply-chain efficiency. Lead resolution of customer complaints related to supplier parts, including cooler leakage, welding defects and fabrication-related issues. Support resolution of compressor package assembly and fabricated-part fitment issues. Apply knowledge of shell-and-tube heat exchanger manufacturing, coolers, painting/coating processes and instrument calibration. Participate in IMS audits covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements. Coordinate with Third-Party Inspection Agencies and internal stakeholders for inspection and quality assurance. Work closely with Sourcing, Engineering, Manufacturing and suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues. Drive improvements in quality, cost, delivery and overall supplier performance. Capture lessons learned and implement preventive actions across the supplier base. MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 10–13 years of relevant experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, Fabrication Quality or Quality Assurance. Strong experience in Supplier Quality Management, Supplier Audits and Supplier Development. Industry experience in compressors, rotating equipment, industrial equipment, pressure equipment, heavy engineering, Oil & Gas, process equipment or related industries. Strong practical knowledge of fabrication, welding, pressure vessels and pressure testing. Working knowledge of ASME codes and U-stamp requirements. Experience reviewing ITP, QAP, WPS/PQR, inspection reports and supplier quality documentation. Good knowledge of NDT/NDE, including RT and LPE. Strong hands-on experience in 8D, RCA, CAPA and corrective action management. Good understanding of PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and Control Plans. Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements. IMS Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.
