Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support manufacturing, commercial operations & capex
- Ensure on-time delivery of input materials at all manufacturing sites, both own and CMOs, as per production plan. Ensure zero disruption of production operations due to unavailability of input materials.
- Support QA & QC teams at all sites, and also CQA & R&D teams at HO for their requirements of consumables, working standards, samples, and others.
- Support sales & marketing teams with POS & other promotional materials and event management services
- Take active role in CFT discussions and negotiations for all capex projects
- Deliver on COGS reduction and GM improvement targets
- Strategic sourcing, De-risking & Market insights
- Create enterprise-wide strategic sourcing plan covering both opex (including services) and capex.
- Define supplier segmentation and curate a robust Supplier Relationship Management program
- Implement mid to long term contracts for all critical input materials, to insulate against price fluctuations & supply risks.
- Create a robust AVD pipeline along with R&D, CQA and manufacturing teams in order to de-risk supply chain. Ensure successful implementation, both on timeline and cost.
- Appraise leadership team with critical market insights on price & availability trends, new developments & technologies, competitors’ initiatives, etc.
- Collaborate with Vitabiotics Group Procurement team to leverage global contracts.
- Adherence to Regulations & Controls:
- The Head of Procurement must have in-depth knowledge of regulations and compliance requirements. He / she is expected to provide expert guidance to the enterprise in various laws and requirements that govern procurement process.
- People & Process development:
- Ensure Procurement Policy in aligned to both external and internal regulations and compliances
- Develop Procurement KPI analytics using Power BI and other tools
- Build technical capabilities of Procurement team to support capex & input material sourcing
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities with a problem-solving mindset.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost structures and end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Advanced Excel skills and hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Strong drive to deliver targets on efficiency improvement and cost reduction
- Strong business partnering, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail with a continuous improvement orientation.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Postgraduate, with CPSM or CPM Certification
- 10+ years’ experience in strategic sourcing & procurement, including capex
