Operations Manager – Textile Production & Customization
About Our ClientOur client is a well-established Romanian manufacturing company operating since 2010, specializing in textile production and the customization of promotional materials through industrial embroidery and printing technologies. As part of an international group, the company serves advertising agencies and corporate clients across Romania, delivering high-quality products through modern production facilities, in-house stock management, and efficient operational processes.
To support continued growth and operational excellence, we are recruiting an experienced Operations Manager to lead and optimize the company's embroidery and sublimation production operations.
The RoleAs Operations Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and maximizing the efficient use of all resources involved in the embroidery and sublimation departments. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain high productivity levels, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business.This is a key leadership position within the management team, overseeing production planning, operational performance, team development, process optimization, and strategic improvement projects.
Reporting to: General ManagerTeam Size: Approximately 55 employees
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Management• Lead and oversee the complete operational process from order intake through production and shipment.• Develop and manage production planning in alignment with team leaders and department heads.• Monitor operational performance, productivity, quality, and delivery timelines.• Ensure optimal workflow and resource utilization across departments.• Maintain continuous production output while meeting customer expectations.Continuous Improvement• Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.• Introduce and support Lean Manufacturing practices such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.• Recommend investments in equipment, systems, and technologies to improve operational performance.• Support the implementation and optimization of ERP and workflow management systems.Leadership & People Management• Lead a multidisciplinary team through Team Leaders, Head of Design, Warehouse, and Maintenance functions.• Conduct performance evaluations and establish development plans for employees.• Identify training needs and support workforce development initiatives.• Ensure the right people are positioned in the right roles to maximize team performance.• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Planning & Budgeting• Participate in the annual budgeting process, including investments, labor costs, and operational expenditures.• Monitor departmental costs and support initiatives that improve profitability.• Provide operational insights and recommendations to senior management.Compliance & Sustainability• Ensure company assets and equipment are properly maintained and protected.• Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and recycling programs.• Encourage digital processes to reduce paper consumption.• Participate in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.Seasonal Demand Management• Support operational scale-up activities during peak production periods to ensure customer demand is met efficiently.
What We're Looking ForEssential Requirements• Proven experience in operations, production, manufacturing, or plant management.• Strong leadership experience managing teams and operational functions.• Good command of English, both written and spoken.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).• Experience working with ERP systems, workflow management tools, and production planning software.• Ability to build, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in textile manufacturing, embroidery, printing, promotional products, or related production environments.• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement).• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities.• Experience leading operational transformation and process optimization projects.
